Manitoba's premier stop for the Canadian Professional Golf Tour is the MTS Classic, held annually the event hosts over 150 of Canada's top professional golfers. For the past three years the tournament has benefited with real-time scoring (RTS), which enables golfers and tournament officials to keep score, live and on-line, with web enabled wireless phones. The MTS Classic's RTS solutions was developed for MTS Allstream Inc. by Shadowplay.net. The project began over three years ago when MTS wanted a tool to demonstrate the cutting edge of wireless technology at their prestigious golf tournament. Shadowplay.net listened to the client's needs and built an application that tracks, records, and posts golf scores through standard web browsers and web enabled mobile devices. The scoring system was so successful the client requested Shadowplay.net's support for a second and third time. Now the MTS boasts about the scoring system and fans demand the instant connectivity. This last year saw over 1.1 Million page views over the course of the 4 day event from as far away as Thialand, Ireland and Samoa.
